This month marks another milestone for Grayshott Pottery as Glenn Myers, Managing Director, celebrates 30 years at the Pottery.
Glenn, who joined the pottery straight from leaving Alton College in 1988, began his journey as a slip caster making porcelain clocks for renowned high street stores Argos and H. Samuel.
Subsequently, Glenn went on to work in a vast variety of areas within the company, taking the role of Workshop Manager in the late 1990’s and later joining the board as Production Director before he was promoted to joint Managing Director in 2015.
Commenting on his 30-year milestone at Grayshott Pottery, Glenn said “What a great journey it has been. Beginning my time here as a slip caster and today working as joint Managing Director, I’ve had the pleasure of being involved with so many great projects. I’ve loved having the opportunity to work on exciting new concepts for the likes of Jamie’s Italian, Nandos, Wagamama and Coya and acquiring Dartington Pottery in 2005 was obviously a highlight too!” It’s also at Grayshott Pottery where Glenn met his wife Janna, back in 1999.
The Pottery has always been actively involved with the local community and in 2013, Glenn was very proud to represent the Pottery and collect their ‘East Hants Outstanding Contribution to the Community’ Award.
Glenn’s vision for the Pottery going forward is “more of the same please!” – to continue working with a great team of people and to keep on innovating whilst continuing with the traditions of Grayshott Pottery.
